Bayside Counseling is an outpatient private practice owned and operated by Dena Otrin, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Whether you are a child struggling to understand your parents divorce, a teen wanting to improve your self-esteem or an adult seeking a way to better your relationships, we can provide you with the support and guidance to help you. Many clients come to us for treatment of medical conditions such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. Others look for assistance with situational matters such as family conflict, marital stress, grief, job stress, military deployments and ways to improve communication and relationships with others. Providing our clients with the guidance, coaching and support to encourage effective change in their lives is our goal.
Our clients seek assistance with a variety of mental health concerns including: depression and anxiety, life changes and adjustment (addressed through coaching), self-esteem issues, cutting and self-injury, women’s issues, job-related stress, divorce, blended family issues, grief and loss, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), improving social skills, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), military readjustment, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, panic disorder, personality disorders, trauma including physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault.
Bayside Counseling is located in Westbrook, CT and provides mental health counseling services to residents of southern Connecticut and the Connecticut shoreline. Towns and cities in these areas include: Niantic, East Lyme, Old Lyme, Essex, Deep River, Chester, Ivoryton, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Clinton, Madison, Guilford and Killingworth. We accept most insurances and are affiliated with several Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).
